Step back to an era of relaxed elegance in the graciously restored 1850 Georgian Home. Buckley Hall Inn is just the place to get away from all the things that bring stress to your life. The Inn is located in Mathews Court House, Virginia, a small country town in the Chesapeake Bay area where you can while away the hours however you like.
You can ride a bike to the beach, observe the over 200 documented species of birds in the Bethel Beach Nature Sanctuary and see the New Point Comfort Light House. If boating is your interest, canoeing and kayaking are just minutes away. Offshore fishing or sightseeing trips to Chesapeake Bay locations can be arranged with local captains.
For history buffs, we are located close to of many of Virginia's famous historic plantations, Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown and Yorktown.
But, if you really want to just stop and relax, this is the place to be. Sit on the grand front porch under age-old oaks, rock a bit or read a book. Our library is well stocked for your reading pleasure.
Buckley Hall Inn offers a variety of romantic rooms. Some with fireplaces, four poster beds and even your own private whirlpool bath. All guestrooms have their own private bathrooms.
Mornings bring the aroma of a real country breakfast -- some of which may be prepared on our 1880's wood stove. Breakfast is served in the elegant dining room set with the finest silver, fine china and crystal.
